BLESSINGS

Hello Tweetie, Counting My Daily Blessings!

I just wanted to share some Joyful Blessings I spotted from my  front and back yard this week!
These things I treasure dearly.  This is the first year I have spotted hummingbirds nesting in our large Ash tree. The nest is so tiny!!! It amazes me how two let alone one bird could fit  inside such a small space. I'm thinking they must be almost to the point where they will be ready to leave.  The Momma bird flew right up to my face yesterday as I sat nearby to watch. I promptly walked away  to give her back her privacy. This tree is so special to me because my dear late Grandpa Rod helped my husband plant it at least 17years ago.  As our temperatures are already in the 80's to 90's and  May is upon us to kick off our summer swelters, the tall green and lush branches grace us with much desired shade.

Every year I look forward to the Mexican primrose blooming in the front!  I just can't help but smile looking at these pretty pink lovelies. ; )
I like how this metal turquoise cross looked among the greenery and cheerful pink petals.

Yup, I'm Thankful and Hopeful in Spring!!! <3

  1. Hi, Kelly, my Dear! That is just AMAZING, a hummingbird nest! I was just looking at two we have in our backyard now ~ I believe they are both robins. I know what you mean about the tree having special meaning to you, like the bulbs from daddy's farm and the shrubs we moved from my Mom's have for me...♥ Thank you SO much for all your delightful visits and sweet comments for me...I swear, I am so behind! I decided that this evening was for me and I was going to sit down and make time to write and visit! ♥ Our youngest, Jonathan, graduates in 3 weeks and it seems like every day lately is just wild...and he takes care of most of it himself! (But I stress!) Tomorrow we have to see his advisor at the university about this fall's schedule...and this weekend is Senior Prom! I guess I just need to settle down and make more Fairy Houses...;) (I am seriously having TOO much fun with those...)
    Hugs to you, my friend!

  2. Oh, I also wanted to tell you how much your comment about my posts; like "unwrapping a gift" ~ meant to me...that, my Dear, is just the sweetest and most wonderful compliment I could get! Truly, thank you from the bottom of my heart!
    Hugs,
    Anne

  3. What a gift, Kelly. It's good that you took the time to slow down and capture it. We miss so much in our busy lives, don't we?
Thank you for sharing with us.

  4. Oh that wee nest!!! I've never found a hummingbird nest.
That's a sweet story about your grandpa. Rod is a great name...did you get to use it naming a baby?
    Pretty Primroses, too!
