Thought I would share a few of my favorite things that I enjoy for Christmas.
First is my Christmas tree...... purchased a few years back!
I Love how it looks natural or decorated. This year I will need to have a few strands of lights fixed before I dress it up.

Next, is this Lovely light up town my husband purchased for one of my December Birthdays past!  It always makes me smile as ponder its twinkling winter scene.

Well then, I will pick a few more things that tug at my emotions and I will return to share them, if you would like to join me again perhaps? See "YOU" soon! ; )

Going Bananas!!!

Yup I DID!



 Made some BANANA BREAD with some over ripe UHHH BANANAS!!!
Used my phone's camera because my camera wasn't available at that time. I believe they turned out NICE!  I used my Mom's recipe that always comes out YUMMO and brings that home feeling! I've been thinking a lot about my upcoming trip to visit my MOM in a few more days and I cant wait.

Glitter and a Movie presents Steel Magnolias

Steel Magnolias and Mothers Day!

Well, I finally got the picture I wanted to present for my entry into the Glitter and a Movie featuring Steel Magnolias. I never realized how difficult it could be to photograph the subject. I want to thank my wonderful daughter who helped me to get the best antique look I had envisioned in my mind. WE DID IT! PHEW!!!
My latest fetish is collecting empty jars, such as this Jelly jar above. It has these lovely lines up and down it which captivated me to create with it!

Hello Tweetie, Counting My Daily Blessings!

I just wanted to share some Joyful Blessings I spotted from my  front and back yard this week!
These things I treasure dearly.  This is the first year I have spotted hummingbirds nesting in our large Ash tree.The nest is so tiny!!! It amazes me how two let alone one bird could fit  inside such a small space. I'm thinking they must be almost to the point where they will be ready to leave.  The Momma bird flew right up to my face yesterday as I sat nearby to watch. I promptly walked away  to give her back her privacy. This tree is so special to me because my dear late Grandpa Rod helped my husband plant it at least 17years ago.  As our temperatures are already in the 80's to 90's and  May is upon us to kick off our summer swelters, the tall green and lush branches grace us with much desired shade.

Every year I look forward to the Mexican primrose blooming in the front!  I just can't help but smile looking at these pretty pink lovelies. ; )
I like how this metal turquoise cross looked among the greenery and cheerful pink petals.

Yup, I'm Thankful and Hopeful in Spring!!! <3

Thankful and Inspiring....

I wanted to share this beautiful giveaway I won from a Dear friend, Marcia at  The Shop Around the Corner! This graceful pink dress tag is decorated with a diamond floral ribbon belt and is sprinkled with pearls down its flowing bodice. The tag is called " LOVELY" and I just "Swooned" over just how Lovely it is in person!!! I decided to place LOVELY amongst my spring decor. I am so Happy to see spring blooming once again! I know some of you are still waiting for signs of spring, I promise it is on it's way!
I also wanted to thank Marcia who inspired me to creatively mod podge some eggs for Easter! I perused Pinterest to see what others were crafting with eggs and I came up with this idea! All supplies I used can easily be found at your local craft store, (Michaels has great bargains in my opinion) and the plastic eggs I purchased at the 99c store.
Starting out I layered white napkins to mask some of the colored eggs and then I applied cut sections of the cupcake papers. I also crumpled the cupcake paper before I cut them into smaller sections to make the paper less stiff.
I have to advise to work in sections and dry sections at a time so your fingers are less likely to stick to your project. I used the matte mod podge on my eggs. I might try to make a few with some of the gloss mod podge if  I get out to purchase some before Easter is over.
  All in all it was relaxing and a fun project that I would recommend for anyone, even the kids if they like to be crafty creative!

Now this is what I was HOPING for.......

I wanted to share this lovely necklace I found at this FUN resale shop that opened up here in Phoenix called TurnStyle. They sell furniture, house goods, clothing and accessories of all kinds! I love the colors in the beads and I can even loop it around my wrist and wear it as a bracelet if  I want to. Also, I found this gorgeous blue lacey tank for the summer and thought that they complemented each other. I already have the perfect earrings to go with it!. So you can surmise that my mind is dreaming of summer days and going on vacation! You Too?
